Movimiento Ciudadano strengthens political structure for 2027 elections

Movimiento Ciudadano is strengthening its political structure in Mexico ahead of the 2027 elections. In Sonora, the party has announced the incorporation of Ernesto Gándara, a former gubernatorial candidate, to bolster its territorial presence and organizational capacity in various municipalities.

In Nuevo León, the party is evaluating potential candidates for the governorship. State coordinator Baltazar Martínez stated that Senator Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas remains a possible aspirant, as the legislator has not ruled out a run. Other names under consideration include Mariana Rodríguez, Héctor García, Félix Arratia, Miguel Flores, and Martha Herrera. Internal party measurements suggest the organization currently holds a leading position in voter intention by brand within the region.
