Movimiento Ciudadano urges vigilance on public‑resource use before 2027 Mexican elections

Regidor Marvin Toledo Gallardo of Movimiento Ciudadano warned the Lázaro Cárdenas municipal council that using public vehicles, infrastructure or municipal staff time for pre‑campaign activities supporting Morena candidates before the legally permitted period would breach electoral equity. He called for tighter oversight by electoral authorities and urged citizens to document any misuse of resources.

State leader Sergio "Pío" Esquer Peiro of Movimiento Ciudadano said the public needs a government that works on security, the economy and public services rather than being distracted by early campaigning. He noted the loss of roughly 25,000 jobs and the closure of 4,800 businesses in the past two years and reiterated MC’s openness to alliances for the 2027 Sinaloa governorship race.
