Municipalities implement infrastructure and social service projects
Various municipal governments across the Americas are implementing local service improvements and infrastructure projects. In Barahona, Dominican Republic, authorities led by INAPA director Wellington Arnaud and Mayor Míctor Fernández met to address potable water supply challenges in local communities.
In Mexico, the government of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, through the Municipal Education Directorate, is working with the State Institute for Adult Education (IEEA) to provide basic education certification for adults and youth over 15. Additionally, in Puebla, Mayor Pepe Chedraui completed road rehabilitation on Calle 14 Sur-Norte, benefiting over 14,000 residents through the ‘Tren Capitalino de Pavimentación’ program.
In Argentina, several local initiatives are underway, including road maintenance in San Jerónimo, sports infrastructure upgrades in Jáchal, and the implementation of a Newcom sports league in Almirante Brown. Other regional efforts include cleaning operations in Fontana and discussions regarding public transport concessions in Río Grande.
