Movimiento Rebelde honors founder Ricardo de la Cruz Bautista
The Movimiento Rebelde held a commemorative event in Santo Domingo to mark the first anniversary of the death of its founding member and national leader, Ricardo de la Cruz Bautista, also known as ‘Pantera’.
During the ceremony, the organization's president, Juan Hubieres, honored De la Cruz Bautista for his role in establishing the group across the Eastern region, the National District, and Greater Santo Domingo. Hubieres noted that De la Cruz Bautista's efforts contributed to securing various municipal and congressional seats in previous elections. He also highlighted the late leader's commitment to community service and training local leaders in Hato Mayor del Rey and Santo Domingo Este.
The event included participation from Deputy Antonio Brito. Hubieres used the occasion to call for party unity and urged members to intensify efforts in collecting signatures required to formalize the organization's recognition before the Central Electoral Board (JCE).
