Following the match, club co-owner Ibai Llanos issued a public apology to fans, describing the team's performance and the current split as “shameful and inadmissible.” He stated, “I think it is time to look at ourselves in the face and admit that we are extremely bad.”

The situation presents a sharp contrast to the club's academy team, Movistar KOI Fénix, which recently secured a perfect split championship in the Spanish League. While the main roster faces significant pressure, their final chance to qualify for the summer playoffs rests on their upcoming match against Team Heretics on August 30. The team no longer controls its own destiny for a top-four finish.
