Movistar Plus announces new series premieres

Movistar Plus is releasing two new series. ‘La mujer miniatura’, premiering September 9, is a ten-episode science fiction drama based on a story by Manuel Gonzales. Starring Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen, the series follows a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and a scientist whose marriage is strained by power dynamics and emotional exhaustion, a conflict literalized when a technological accident reduces the female protagonist to a few centimeters in height.

Additionally, the platform has released ‘Creednos’, a four-episode British miniseries written by Jeff Pope. Based on the real-life case of London taxi driver John Worboys, the production focuses on the victims of his sexual assaults and their struggle to have their testimonies taken seriously. The series examines the institutional failures and police errors that occurred between 2002 and 2008, which prevented authorities from connecting multiple reports to a single perpetrator.
