Movistar Plus+ rolls out new binge‑worthy series and free UHD decoder swap

Movistar Plus+ announced the launch of a new series aimed at binge‑watching, emphasizing intense episodes, a fast‑paced storyline and immediate engagement. The service highlights its strategy of pairing strong exclusive content with a price‑capable plan under five euros per month to attract viewers in an increasingly competitive streaming market.

From 1 June, Movistar began replacing its older HD set‑top boxes with a new UHD decoder. The upgrade provides 4K video, Dolby Atmos sound, integrated access to multiple streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc.), enhanced search and recommendation tools, parental controls and four separate user profiles. The swap is offered at no cost to subscribers still using the legacy HD equipment, provided they request the change before the deadline.
