Mowi reports record €1.6 billion revenue in Q2 2026
Mowi has reported record-high second-quarter 2026 revenues of €1.6 billion, driven by strong biological performance and a 7.4% increase in harvest volumes to 150,000 tonnes. The company’s operational EBIT rose 23% year-on-year to €231 million, supported by reduced production costs and rising salmon prices.
CEO Ivan Vindheim noted that the company’s Norwegian and Scottish operations performed strongly. Mowi also reported significant growth in its Consumer Products division, which saw a 67% year-on-year jump in brand revenues due to retail demand in the UK, Continental Europe, Thailand, and Sweden.
In a strategic move, Mowi signed an agreement to sell its 9,000 GWT Canada East salmon-farming business to Cooke Inc. for €139 million. Looking ahead, the company anticipates a more balanced supply-demand situation in the salmon market, citing limited industry supply growth and sustained global demand.
