Mowi reports record Q2 2026 revenues and operating profit
Mowi ASA reported record revenues of 1.6 billion euros (17.6 billion NOK) and an operating profit of 231 million euros (2.54 billion NOK) for the second quarter of 2026. This represents a 23% increase in operating profit compared to the same quarter in 2025, driven by strong biological and operational performance, record volumes, and lower costs.
The company delivered a seasonal record volume of 150,000 tonnes of salmon, a 7.4% increase year-over-year. CEO Ivan Vindheim noted that operations in Norway and Scotland were particularly strong. Mowi has expanded its production capacity from 400,000 tonnes to 600,000 tonnes in recent years.
Following a period of low salmon prices due to high supply, prices rose by 6% in the second quarter and 21% in the third quarter compared to the previous year. Mowi anticipates limited supply growth in the coming years and expects a more balanced market due to sustained underlying demand.
