Moza Banco hosts literary event for Noémia de Sousa centenary

Moza Banco, in partnership with the Fernando Leite Couto Foundation (FFLC), hosted a literary event titled ‘À conversa com Ana Magaia: Celebrando os 100 anos de Noémia de Sousa’ to honor the centenary of the renowned Mozambican poet.

Noémia de Sousa, often referred to as the ‘mother of Mozambican poets,’ was celebrated through a discussion on art, culture, and freedom. The event featured Ana Magaia, an actress and producer with over four decades of experience in the arts, who performed a selection of de Sousa’s poems. The initiative aimed to promote Mozambican cultural heritage and support the development of national literature.
