Mozaga Foundation launches Spectra privacy-focused mobile app

The Mozaga Foundation has introduced Spectra, an open-source mobile application designed to enhance digital privacy and identity management. The app provides end-to-end encrypted messaging, group chats, multimedia sharing, and voice and video calls.

Spectra distinguishes itself by requiring no registration, meaning users do not need to provide names, phone numbers, or email addresses. The technology combines classical cryptography with post-quantum protection mechanisms and integrates directly with various blockchain networks. For enhanced security, users can route communications through Tor, activate a high-protection ‘Spectre Mode’, or use Bluetooth to transport encrypted messages offline.

Project founder Manuel Aarón Fajardo García stated that the initiative serves as a technological response to tensions between security measures and fundamental rights to privacy. The project is grounded in the principles of Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
