Mozambican companies launch international travel loyalty campaigns
Several companies operating in Mozambique and Angola have launched promotional campaigns offering international travel as rewards for customer loyalty.
Absa Bank Mozambique has selected customers from Maputo and Tete to travel to Mauritius following a promotional campaign for Visa debit and credit cards. The initiative aims to modernize the local payment ecosystem and transition toward integrated customer experiences. Bank officials noted that the use of electronic payment methods in Mozambique is expanding, supported by investments in technological infrastructure and digital security to ensure transaction stability both domestically and abroad.
Additionally, the operator ZAP, in partnership with TV Globo, has launched the ‘Viagem ao Brasil’ campaign. This initiative will reward 16 customers—eight from Mozambique and eight from Angola—with trips to Rio de Janeiro. The winners will receive airfare, accommodation, and tours of landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer and Copacabana, as well as a visit to the Globo Studios. The campaign is scheduled to run from August 15 to November 30, 2026, featuring monthly draws.
