Mozambican universities host academic book launch and scientific conferences

Academic institutions in Mozambique recently hosted events focused on legal scholarship and scientific innovation. At the Universidade Católica de Moçambique in Chimoio, author António Charles launched his book, ‘O Erro Judiciário: Como Gerador de Responsabilidade Civil Extracontratual do Direito Processual Penal’. The work examines judicial error as a potential basis for state civil liability within the criminal justice process, specifically comparing provisions in the new Code of Criminal Procedure.

Separately, the Universidade Técnica de Moçambique held scientific conferences under the theme ‘Think, Investigate, Innovate and Transform’. The event included presentations on artificial intelligence and digital marketing, as well as student research projects covering economic, social, and technological topics. The university rector, Professor Severino Elias Ngoenha, encouraged students to use academic knowledge to develop practical solutions for the country’s challenges.
