Mozambique President Daniel Chapo engages Europe on youth and energy initiatives

Constantino André, secretary‑general of the Mozambique Youth Organization (OJM), travelled to Spain, Portugal and Germany from 20 to 30 July to meet diaspora youth groups, academic institutions and partner organisations, aiming to strengthen internal cohesion of the OJM and promote patriotism among Mozambican youths abroad.

In Lisbon, President Daniel Chapo received Fernando Roig, head of Spain’s Grupo Pamesa. The two leaders discussed a strategic partnership focused on energy projects, including liquefied natural gas, and the creation of youth training programmes modeled after Villarreal CF. They agreed to commence technical contacts in the coming weeks to advance these initiatives.
