Mozambique promotes multilateralism and trade during PM visit to Serbia

Mozambican Prime Minister Benvinda Levi has arrived in Belgrade, Serbia, to participate in the 65th anniversary celebrations of the Non-Aligned Movement. Upon arrival, she was received by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Adrijana Mesarović.

During the visit, Mozambique aims to promote multilateralism, peace, solidarity, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, while emphasizing respect for territorial integrity. Bilateral discussions are scheduled to focus on agriculture, trade, and economic cooperation.

Notably, Serbian authorities expressed interest in importing Mozambican products, specifically cashew nuts. To facilitate this, a joint technical working group may be established, and a visit by Serbian officials to Maputo is being considered. Additionally, Serbia has invited Mozambique to participate in EXPO 2027.
