Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro featured in Italian opera festivals

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s operaLe nozze di Figaro’ is being featured in two distinct Italian cultural events this August.

In Cremona, the Janus Opera project will present the masterpiece at the Teatro Filo di Cremona on August 11. This performance is part of the Cremona Opera Festival and features the ‘Artists in Residence’ program, which selected performers through an international process. The production will be accompanied by the Orchestra da Camera di Parma, directed by Leonardo Benini, with Marco Bronzi serving as concertmaster.

In Montecchio Maggiore, the Vicenza in Lirica festival will host a concert-style reduction of the opera at the Castello di Romeo on August 21. This event is part of an initiative to bring opera beyond traditional theaters to local historical sites. The performance features a cast of young artists, including winners of the Tullio Serafin Lyrical Competition, accompanied by the Orchestra dei Colli Morenici under the direction of Marco Titotto.
