Mozilla and browser developers release new Firefox and Waterfox updates

Several updates have been released for Firefox-based web browsers, including Firefox 158.0, Waterfox 6.7.6, and Firefox Developer Edition 159.0.

Firefox 158.0 introduces a ‘Smart Window’ for faster form filling, improved PDF accessibility on Linux and macOS, and support for the JPEG XL image format. The update also expands translation support to include Albanian, Belarusian, and Filipino.

Waterfox 6.7.6 adds new RSS feed management options, such as the ability to hide live bookmarks and open original articles in new tabs. It also introduces a double-click option to close tabs and integrates security patches from the Mozilla Foundation.

Firefox Developer Edition 159.0 features native macOS sharing integration and improved password management via the default sidebar. For developers, the Web Console now allows the redeclaration of variables, and the Sanitizer API has been updated to clean HTML during parsing.
