Mozilla releases Firefox 155 for iOS with integrated ad blocker

Mozilla has released Firefox 155 for Apple iOS, introducing an integrated, optional ad blocker for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The feature, which can be enabled via the browser settings under 'Browsing' or 'Surfen', uses the popular EasyList filter list to block many third-party advertisements and associated trackers before they load.

While the tool blocks a significant portion of web advertising, it does not remove sponsored content from search engine results pages or Firefox's own sponsored links.

Additionally, Firefox 155 is rolling out a reverse image search feature powered by Google Lens. This allows users to submit images to a search engine to identify content, such as plant species, using artificial intelligence. The update also includes various bug fixes and performance optimizations.
