Enna participatory budget: MPA questions implementation of winning projects

Members of the MPA, Omar Maria Vellari and Simone Bongiorno, have raised concerns regarding the implementation of the participatory budget in Enna. Following the launch of a new call for proposals by the Municipality, the representatives questioned why projects selected in previous rounds have not been realized.

A specific point of contention is a project for an outdoor cinema intended for the summer season. With September approaching, the representatives noted that the delay effectively nullifies the seasonal purpose of the proposal. They argued that for participatory democracy to be meaningful, the administration must ensure that winning proposals are executed within the promised timeframes and methods, rather than treating the process as a mere formality.
