MPLA member Fernando de Matos Mota removed from Luanda Provincial Committee

Fernando de Matos Mota, also known as Matos Mota Kito, has been removed from the MPLA Provincial Committee in Luanda. The departure follows an internal evaluation conducted during the party’s organic renewal process.

Mota Kito, who serves as the representative for Higino Carneiro’s candidacy for the MPLA presidency, reported receiving a score of nine out of 20 in the assessment. Prior to his removal from the Provincial Committee, he was also removed from the Executive Commission and dismissed from his position as head of the Cadre Policy Area.

A veteran member of the party for over 43 years, Mota Kito has held various roles, including municipal secretary in Ingombota and head of the Organization and Mobilization Department in Luanda. Despite his removal from the provincial level, he has been re-elected as the first secretary of the Party Action Committee (CAP) 112 in Ingombota and intends to remain an advisor to Higino Carneiro’s campaign.
