The MPLA (People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola) has launched mobilization efforts across several provinces in preparation for the 2027 general elections. During celebrations for the party's 70th anniversary and the IX Ordinary Congress, provincial leaders emphasized the need for internal unity and discipline to secure political victories.

In Luanda, provincial secretary Luís Manuel da Fonseca Nunes stated that the party is focused on regaining political control of the capital. He highlighted the importance of mass mobilization and improving living conditions for the population as key priorities for the organization leading up to the next election cycle.

In Cabinda, provincial secretary Suzana Abreu also led a mass political event, signaling the party's intent to reverse recent electoral results in the region. Abreu defended the party's record and highlighted upcoming economic developments, such as the imminent start of operations at the Caio Deepwater Terminal, while urging members to remain resilient against opposition criticism.
