MPMT launches autism awareness campaign and inclusive education course

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Mato Grosso (MPMT) has launched a new institutional campaign and educational initiative focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and inclusive education.

During the “Abraçando as Diferenças” (Embracing Differences) event in Cuiabá, officials introduced a campaign designed to foster empathy and awareness regarding sensory overload and behaviors associated with autism. The initiative aims to promote a more sensitive understanding of people with disabilities and address the ongoing challenges of school inclusion.

Additionally, the MPMT announced a free distance learning (EaD) course titled “Abraçando as Diferenças: Escola para Todos.” The program, which exceeds 40 hours in duration, will be available to teaching networks starting in October. It is intended to provide educators across the 142 municipalities of Mato Grosso with practical knowledge and tools for special education and inclusive classroom environments.
