MPS begins construction of provincial headquarters in Mao

The Mouvement patriotique du salut (MPS) has officially launched the construction of its provincial headquarters in Mao, the capital of the Kanem province. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by several regional figures, including the government delegate for the province, General Issaka Koty Yacoub, and the president of the Provincial Council.

The new facility is planned to cover a large area and will include offices, a multipurpose hall, a central hall, and administrative annexes. The project is funded by Abakar Mahamat Adoum, the head of the Mallima canton and a prominent MPS member, with an estimated cost of 68 million CFA francs.

According to Mahayadine Mahamat Roudah, the MPS Secretary General for Kanem, the initiative aims to strengthen the party's visibility and local structure within the province. Construction is expected to be completed within three months.
