MPS concludes census support mission in Iriba

The Mouvement Patriotique du Salut (MPS) has concluded its support mission for the Third General Population and Housing Census (RGPH3) in the Iriba department. The mission, which ran from July 10 to August 6, involved ten teams led by Coordinator Terap Abdallah Haggar, Deputy Moussa Mahamat Haggar, and Executive Secretary Ismail Abdoul Djouna.

The primary objective was to increase community awareness and mobilization by collaborating with local administrative authorities, religious leaders, and traditional chiefs. To reach remote areas, the coordination provided logistical support, including transportation and animal mounts for difficult terrain. The mission also addressed technical issues, such as correcting the misallocation of enumeration zones between Iriba and neighboring departments.

Financially, the MPS coordination mobilized 57,040,000 FCFA, spending 51,900,000 FCFA and leaving a balance of 6,040,000 FCFA. While the MPS reported satisfactory results from their field support, final census results are pending from the National Institute of Statistics, Economic Studies and Demography (INSEED).
