Mr Bean to guest edit Beano comic in special crossover

The comedy character Mr Bean, portrayed by Rowan Atkinson, will feature in a special four-issue crossover with the children's comic magazine Beano. During this collaboration, Mr Bean will serve as a guest editor.

In the debut issue, the magazine will be renamed ‘Mr Beano’ for the first time, and Mr Bean’s knitted bear, Teddy, will be promoted to the role of ‘Teditor’. The subsequent three issues will see the character interacting with the world of Beanotown, including appearances at Bash Street School and encounters between his cat, Scrapper, and the characters Gnasher and Gnipper.

Rowan Atkinson expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting his lifelong appreciation for the comic’s anarchic style. Beano director Mike Stirling noted that the character’s personality aligns well with the magazine’s creative and imaginative tone.
