MR Developers submits third plan to amend Crossgates housing project

MR Developers Limited has submitted a third planning application to Powys County Council to amend a nearly 20-year-old permission for 16 detached houses in Crossgates, near Llandrindod Wells. This follows two previous rejections by planners, the most recent occurring on July 17.

The new non-material amendment (NMA) application seeks to reconfigure the layout and positioning of plots 11 through 16, along with consequential changes to plots 14 and 15 regarding garages and parking spaces to meet standards. Planning agent Alan Southerby stated the goal is to improve the scheme’s deliverability and provide better spacing for dwellings, asserting that the changes result in no material difference to the original approved scheme regarding building types or heights.

Notably, the current proposal does not specifically mention the demolition of a property known as ‘The Glen,’ though the demolition of one prefabricated bungalow remains part of the overarching plan.
