Mr. Donut to introduce maternity and unisex uniforms

Duskin, the operator of the Mr. Donut chain, has announced a complete overhaul of its staff uniforms starting in September 2024. The new collection will feature unisex designs and, for the first time, include maternity-specific uniforms to expand employment options and support diverse working styles.

The redesign was developed in collaboration with the apparel company Jun, which manages brands such as ROPÉ PICNIC. The new attire follows an American work-style aesthetic, combining denim and polo shirts to balance casual comfort with a professional appearance. Key functional improvements include stretchable materials for ease of movement, trousers designed not to cling to body lines, and aprons equipped with pen pockets based on staff feedback.

To ensure inclusivity and team cohesion, the maternity uniforms will follow the same polo shirt, trousers, and apron style as the standard uniform rather than a dress style. The company also emphasized sustainability by incorporating recycled polyester into the new garments.
