MR. RECORDS demo adds custom level editor feature

Developer Glee-Cheese Studio and publisher Wired Productions have released an updated demo for the upcoming rhythm adventure game, MR. RECORDS, as part of Steam Next Fest. The update introduces a built-in custom level editor that allows players to design, edit, and play their own rhythm stages.

Using the editor, players can place notes, obstacles, and environmental effects onto a music timeline. The tool supports customization of visual assets, color palettes, animations, and background elements synced to audio beats. While the demo is currently on Steam, the level editor will be included in the final multi-platform release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. PC players will specifically have the ability to import their own audio files to create and share custom stages.

MR. RECORDS follows the story of George, an aging protagonist who opens a record shop. Each record triggers surreal adventures across more than 40 rhythm-focused stages featuring various musical genres, including funk, progressive rock, hip-hop, and electronic music.
