Ümraniye Municipality Rolls Out Youth Education and Sports Programs

The Ümraniye Municipality in Turkey has expanded a range of projects aimed at supporting young people’s education, science, culture and sport. Initiatives include YKS university‑entrance preparation courses, digital learning services and a free university‑choice counseling tent that reach roughly 320,000 students each year. The district also operates the Ümraniye Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Center, the Şehit Mühendis Zahide Güçlü Ekici Science Center, and a network of four public libraries serving about 80,000 users.

Through the Academy Ümraniye, 15 course centers offer training in 147 subjects to around 5,500 participants annually, while 33 different sports branches are organized by the Ümraniye Sports Club. The municipality’s facilities include 14 education sites, 19 sports sites and four green “millet gardens,” providing comprehensive support for the personal and social development of the district’s youth.
