A promotional event in Mumbai for the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ faced significant disruption on September 26, resulting in a media walkout. The event, which was scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm, was delayed by approximately four to five hours. Reports indicate the delay was caused by international content creator MrBeast missing a private flight.
Frustration among journalists grew due to a lack of official updates from the organizing team. Tensions escalated when members of the press reportedly felt dismissed by the PR crew and actor Ranbir Kapoor, who allegedly remarked, “Aap logon ko jana hai toh chale jao” (If you people want to leave, you can leave) following reports of the walkout. Consequently, the planned one-hour press session was reduced to just ten minutes.
Despite the chaos, the event featured several key moments, including Ranbir Kapoor lifting a replica of the Shiv Dhanush and interacting with MrBeast. Kapoor also used the opportunity to explain the cultural significance of Lord Ram and the concept of Dharma to the YouTuber. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is a large-scale two-part production starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. The first installment is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026.
