Baskonia signs Brazilian center Márcio Santos

Kosner Baskonia has announced the signing of Brazilian center Márcio Santos to a two-year contract, securing the player until 2028. The 2.04-meter interior joins the EuroLeague team to bolster their frontcourt following the departures of Alex Len and Khalifa Diop.

Santos arrives from Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he appeared in 37 EuroLeague games last season, averaging 6.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. His professional career includes stints with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany and Sesi Franca in Brazil, where he won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and the Basketball Champions League Americas.

Under the direction of coach Paolo Galbiati, Santos will provide depth alongside players such as Kenneth Faried. While Santos had previously committed to playing for LSU in the NCAA, he has opted to continue his professional career in Europe.
