Mérida and Barcelona to host 2026 technology and media summits

Two major international technology and innovation summits have been announced for 2026. The Púrpura Summit will take place in Mérida, Mexico, on October 6 and 7. Research by Ozaru and Púrpura AI indicates that only one in four companies currently has specific digital strategies for frontline employees.

In Europe, the Media Party conference will hold its first European edition in Barcelona, Spain, from September 7 to 9, 2026. The summit will focus on innovation in media and journalism, specifically addressing how artificial intelligence is redefining information production, distribution, and verification. The agenda includes workshops, keynotes, and a hackathon dedicated to developing open-source tools for the digital ecosystem.
