Mérida hosts IX Velada Cofrade religious and cultural event

The IX Velada Cofrade Vicente Gómez Flores was held at Manuel Pacheco Park in Mérida, Spain, bringing together members of the Cofradía del Santísimo Cristo de las Tres Caídas, local residents, and families.

The event featured solidarity-focused activities, including hair cutting services by Ricardo and Javi Cano for a five-euro donation and a communal paella tasting. The program included a traditional Eucharist at the Parish of Nuestra Señora de los Milagros, flamenco dance performances by the Academia de Baile Flamenco Julita Báez, and musical sets by El Shuli and percussionist Darío Romero Maraver. The evening also included the presentation of the Horquilla de Oro 2026.
