Mérida merchants and Telpark launch parking promotion

The Emérita Augusta Merchants Association and Telpark have renewed their agreement under the Sustainable Commercial Mobility Program in Mérida. This initiative aims to facilitate access to local shops and hospitality establishments while reducing traffic caused by drivers searching for parking.

Through September 30, a promotion offers 12 hours of parking for 1.49 euros at the José Fernández López parking lot. At the Centro Mérida Politécnica location, the price for 12 hours is 2.29 euros. To access these rates, users must use Telpark Multipass vouchers, which are available in 5, 10, or 20-use formats and are valid for one year.

The system utilizes automatic license plate recognition, eliminating the need for physical tickets. The program is supported by the Mérida City Council and seeks to promote efficient mobility and the use of electric vehicles.
