Mexico reports fatal shootings and multiple traffic accidents

Multiple violent incidents and traffic accidents were reported across various regions. In Valle de Chalco, Estado de México, two separate armed attacks resulted in four deaths. One incident occurred at a market in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, while a second shooting on the Mexico-Puebla highway targeted a vehicle, killing its driver and a delivery worker who was struck by a stray bullet.

Traffic-related incidents also caused injuries and damage. A head-on collision on the old Mérida-Campeche highway left two people injured after a van crossed into the opposite lane. In Celaya, a vehicle lost control and struck a motorcyclist, sending both to the hospital. In Ciudad Mante, a woman allegedly driving under the influence crashed into a Nissan Kicks, resulting in her hospitalization.

Infrastructure issues were noted in Sinaloa, where a large pothole on the Mexico 15 highway caused damage to numerous vehicles traveling between Guasave and Guamúchil.
