Mérido Torres Espinal appointed Director of Dominican Airport Department

Mérido Torres Espinal has been sworn in as the new executive director of the Dominican Republic’s Department of Airports (DA), succeeding Víctor Pichardo. The swearing-in ceremony was led by Eduardo Estrella, the Minister of Public Works and president of the Airport Commission.

Torres Espinal expressed gratitude to President Luis Abinader for the appointment and acknowledged the work performed by his predecessor. He stated his intention to build upon the existing foundation of the institution to achieve significant results for the Dominican people.

Prior to this appointment, Torres Espinal served in roles related to land titling and property regularization, notably as the executive director of the Permanent Commission for the Titling of State Lands (CPTTE) and within the Technical Executing Unit for the Titling of State Lands (UTECT).
