Márk Radnai details investigations into government-linked assets and contracts

Márk Radnai, Vice President of the Tisza Party, has outlined the recent progress regarding investigations into government-linked entities as he prepares to begin work at the National Asset Recovery and Protection Agency this autumn.

Key actions reported include the government seeking to reclaim over 300 billion forints related to the Zugló office complex case. Ongoing reviews are also targeting highway concessions involving Mészáros and Szíjj, the Mohács Danube Bridge project, and various waste, tobacco, and casino concessions. Additionally, the 4iG state order and a 1.3 trillion forint defense framework contract are under scrutiny.

Legal actions have been initiated regarding four Eximbank loans, including one linked to István Tiborcz, and the Duna Aszfalt African project. Criminal proceedings have also begun against Gyula Balásy’s Lounge Group, resulting in the termination of several state contracts, including two worth 75 billion forints each. Furthermore, the MFB has excluded Lőrinc Mészáros’s Opus Titász from certain EU-funded tenders due to transparency failures. Radnai emphasized that the goal is legal accountability rather than political retribution, stating that companies should not be excluded from public procurement if they participate in fair competition.
