Márk Radnai launches Közhang digital consultation platform

Márk Radnai, the commissioner for a functional and humane Hungary and Vice President of the Tisza Party, has launched ‘Közhang’, described as Hungary’s first interactive digital social consultation platform. The initiative aims to go beyond traditional surveys or petitions by using stories, videos, and interactive tasks to help citizens understand complex topics and organize their ideas into actionable suggestions.

The first national consultation hosted on the platform will focus on the reform of public media. Radnai emphasized that the platform is designed to be independent and transparent, allowing for both registered and anonymous participation via the website.

Addressing concerns regarding funding and independence, Radnai stated that the project will not use state funds or public procurement to avoid conflicts of interest and transparency issues. He argued that the speed required for the continuous testing and iterative development of such a technological tool is incompatible with the pace of state administration. The platform was developed with researchers and developers following the elections to ensure it functions as a tool for strengthening the social basis of public policy decision-making.
