Márk Radnai recalls filming Comedy Central pilot

Politician Márk Radnai recently shared details regarding his former career as an actor and director during a conversation with Marcin Mehringer, a Member of Parliament for the Tisza Party. Radnai recounted his involvement in creating the pilot for the Comedy Central series ‘Tömény törtélem’ (Drunken History), a show where celebrities discuss historical events while consuming alcohol.

Radnai explained that a friend proposed the idea of filming a story while drinking in an office. The resulting pilot, filmed on a mobile phone, successfully won a tender from Comedy Central. Reflecting on the experience, Radnai joked, “I drank about seven vodkas; I didn't think back then that I would become a politician.”

Before entering politics, Radnai worked extensively in theater and film, directing productions such as ‘Drága örökös’ and ‘Egyszer volt Budán Bödör’.
