Japanese pop-rock band Mrs. GREEN APPLE supplied the Japanese version of the theme song “Brand New” for the upcoming Marvel film Spider‑Man: Brand New Day. The trio performed the song at the Tokyo Japan premiere on July 30 and appeared at the world premiere in Los Angeles on July 28, meeting lead actor Tom Holland, cast members and Marvel executives.

The official music video for “Brand New” was scheduled for a YouTube premiere on 31 July at 21:00 JST. In interviews the band described the collaboration with Marvel President Kevin Feige, producer Amy Pascal and director Destin Daniel Cretton, noting how the song’s hand‑sign motif ties into the film’s promotional material. The film opened in Japan on 31 July, with the song promoted alongside Shibuya Tsutaya and other partners.
