MRT Jakarta advances Rp300 billion Pedestrian Deck Dukuh Atas project

MRT Jakarta is moving forward with the Pedestrian Deck Dukuh Atas, a circular‑shaped structure intended to link six public‑transport modes and become a new city icon. The project, still in the tender stage, is estimated to cost around Rp300 billion, with half of the financing coming from MRT Jakarta’s own funds and the other half from loans. Because the investment is sourced entirely by MRT, the deck will be owned by the operator, simplifying coordination with the DKI Jakarta provincial government.

The design includes a gallery dedicated to General Sudirman, offering historical education to visitors, and aligns with Jakarta’s other circular landmarks such as Bundaran Senayan and the Jakarta International Stadium. The basic design may be refined by contractors before final construction.
