MRT Jakarta seeks Singaporean investment for TOD projects
PT MRT Jakarta is seeking investment opportunities from Southeast Asian investors, specifically targeting Singaporean capital, to develop Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects. This initiative was presented during the TOD Investment Forum 2026, held at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore in collaboration with the Surbana Jurong Group and the Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Singapore.
The forum aims to attract investors, developers, and financial institutions to support the modernization and integration of Jakarta's public transport services. Key projects offered for development include the Kali Besar Heritage area, Ultimate Development Blok M, Blok M Interchange, XGL Mixed Use, and the Lebak Bulus Interchange Bus Terminal and Park and Ride.
M. Iqbal Bimo Arifianto, Head of Property Management at MRT Jakarta, stated that international investors are expected to provide not only funding but also a transfer of knowledge regarding urban density and connectivity. This expertise is intended to help Jakarta implement more advanced and integrated urban development models.
