The MRT Putrajaya Line experienced service delays on October 4 following a cable theft near Taman Equine Station. The incident was detected at 5:24 AM when a train became immobilized at the station, leading to a power supply disruption.

Rapid KL has activated alternative transport measures to assist commuters. Additionally, shuttle trains are running between 16 Sierra and Putrajaya Sentral every seven minutes.

Free shuttle buses are also being provided between Serdang Jaya and Putrajaya Sentral, including stops at UPM, Taman Equine, Putra Permai, 16 Sierra, Cyberjaya Utara, and Cyberjaya City Centre. These buses are expected to run every 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Passengers are advised to expect longer wait times, particularly at UPM, 16 Sierra, and Putrajaya Sentral stations.
