Mārtiņš Sesks to debut in rally-raid at Baja Poland

M-Sport Ford World Rally Championship driver Mārtiņš Sesks is set to make his rally-raid debut this weekend at Baja Poland 2026, a round of the FIA European Baja Cup. The Latvian driver will compete in a T3-class ‘Viking Challenger’ developed by Sports Racing Technologies (SRT) from August 27 to 30.

Sesks noted that the discipline requires a significantly different strategy than traditional rallying. Unlike traditional rallies where pace notes are perfected in advance, rally-raid involves navigating unknown routes using a roadbook. He emphasized that the longer duration of special stages requires careful risk analysis, vehicle preservation, and physical energy management.

In addition to competing, Sesks aims to assist SRT in the development of their vehicle. Following this event, he is scheduled to rejoin the M-Sport lineup for Rally Italy Sardinia between October 1 and 4.
