MRV reports surge in young buyers and R$ 180 million infrastructure investment
The construction company MRV is seeing a significant shift in its consumer demographic, with young adults aged 18 to 30 representing 54% of its buyers in the first half of 2026. This trend is particularly evident in Pernambuco, where this age group accounted for 54% of sales within the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program between January and September. This shift is attributed to increased financial autonomy and favorable housing financing conditions, such as 35-year payment terms and interest rates that do not fluctuate with the Selic rate.
In addition to market shifts, MRV invested over R$ 180 million in urban infrastructure across Brazil during the first half of 2026. These funds were directed toward paving, water and sewage networks, lighting, and parks surrounding company developments. São Paulo received the largest portion, with R$ 73 million allocated to projects like Cidade Sete Sóis Pirituba, which includes new roads, bike paths, and the planned Sete Sóis Park. In Campinas, R$ 9 million was invested in the Cidade Sete Sóis Dunlop project, which includes a linear park and extensive infrastructure networks.
