M&S introduces Chocolate, Strawberry & Pistachio sandwich from new nut facility

Marks & Spencer has launched a new limited‑edition Chocolate, Strawberry & Pistachio sandwich, the first product to emerge from Greencore’s purpose‑built nut room at its Northampton factory. The new facility enables safe, large‑scale handling of nuts and is intended to support future innovations across M&S’s food‑on‑the‑move range.

The sandwich follows the success of last summer’s Red Diamond Strawberry & Creme sandwich, which sold 75,000 units in five days and became a social‑media sensation. The new item is priced at £3.50 and is sold alongside matching sweet dips.

Greencore describes the nut room as an investment that unlocks new possibilities for combining flavours and textures in mass‑produced products, signalling a broader push for product development within the UK retail sector.
