Msalato International Airport construction nears completion in Tanzania

Tanzanian Minister of Works Masanja Kadogosa has directed the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), contractors, and consultants to ensure the Msalato International Airport project is completed according to the established schedule. During an inspection of the site, Kadogosa emphasized the project's importance in modernizing the infrastructure of Dodoma, the nation's capital.

Project manager Meshack Kabote reported that infrastructure construction has reached 88 percent completion, while buildings are at 79 percent. Infrastructure is expected to be finished by the end of November, with buildings projected for completion by the end of December.

In a separate development, Kadogosa officially assumed his role at the Ministry of Works following a cabinet reshuffle by President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Upon taking office in Dodoma, he called for cooperation among ministry staff and stakeholders to drive efficiency and professional development within the construction sector. He also urged TANROADS to implement precautionary measures to protect road and bridge infrastructure from upcoming seasonal rains.
