MSB shareholder Tran Anh Duc completes 300 billion VND stock purchase

Tran Anh Duc, the son of MSB Chairman Tran Anh Tuan, has completed the purchase of 20 million MSB shares. The transaction, valued at nearly 300 billion VND, was executed through matching orders and agreements between August 6 and September 4, 2026.

Following this acquisition, Tran Anh Duc’s ownership stake in Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB) has increased to approximately 0.53% of the charter capital. This move follows a previous registration to increase his holdings.

The transaction occurs as MSB pursues aggressive growth targets for 2026. The bank aims to increase its total assets to 460 trillion VND and reach a pre-tax profit of 8 trillion VND. Additionally, MSB plans to raise its charter capital from 31.2 trillion VND to 37.44 trillion VND through a bonus share issuance, a plan that has received approval from the State Bank of Vietnam.
