MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys receive diversity and inclusion certification
MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys have become the first cruise lines to receive RINA-attested certification for their application of international diversity and inclusion standards. The certification follows an independent third-party assessment by RINA regarding the company's adherence to ISO 30415:2021 guidelines for Human Resources Management: Diversity and Inclusion.
The certification process began in 2023 with a gap analysis and concluded in 2026 after three years of evaluations, consultations, and continuous improvement initiatives. RINA conducted assessments across various offices and ships to verify alignment with the international framework, which aims to integrate diversity and inclusion principles into human resources practices.
Magali Bertolucci, vice president of people development, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing for the MSC Group cruise division, stated that the certification recognizes existing work while providing an independent perspective for future improvements.
