MSC Cruises cancels Armonia voyage due to Red Sea security

MSC Cruises has cancelled a 26-night Grand Voyage for the MSC Armonia, originally scheduled to depart from Marghera on November 1, 2026, bound for Durban, South Africa.

The company cited the inability to guarantee safe passage through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the region. MSC stated that the safety and well-being of guests are the primary reasons for the decision, which was communicated to passengers more than two months in advance.

Despite the cancellation of this specific transfer voyage, MSC's scheduled South African season, beginning November 27, remains unchanged. Local departures from Durban and Cape Town are still expected to proceed as programmed.
